Rear indicator
Sadly my right rear indicator has snapped, so if anyone has a nice clean one for sale please let me know. Also how difficult is it to replace do I have to remove the tray from under the seat what exactly do I need to remove to change the sodding thing.(annoying because I can’t ride ..... I unbolted it and then cut the wires)

Re: Rear indicator
The indicator is made of rubber. Have you broken that or the metal bracket it is attached to. That bracket is part of the underseat grab rail (or tie down rail ) which is accessed by removing the plastic tail bodywork unit. Not difficult.

Re: Rear indicator
Snapped n half just past the metal screw barrel, have asked a local retailer to source one as I don’t want an after market version .trying to remain pure.

Re: Rear indicator
I haven't done it recently, but memory tells me that you remove the seat - lift (not too high) pull and wriggle vigorously from side to side to free it from the hinge under the tailpiece. Bit of a faff but it does come in a forward direction eventually. (Bugger to put back as well !) Remove the grab rail. Undo the upper shock bolts and wriggle the tail piece off backwards while swearing and cursing. It is a bit flexible and may need to be eased/spread to move it. The rear light does not have to be removed. That's it IIRC

Re: Rear indicator
The power of positive thoughts and the love of all things Honda worked in my favour, I bet it’s a sod to put back on. While it’s off I gave the rear springs a wipe off and then plastered them in wd40, also sprayed wax sealant in the open ends of the frame. The bmw is not a replacement for my 500 ,I have a 600 hornet which I will be selling.

Re: Rear indicator
Had a '98 R850R before going back to the trusty CB last year.
The Beemer was an interesting big lump of a thing but no regrets.

Re: Rear indicator
I bought a f800gt, one owner full history low miles (3800) lots of extras. I am starting cancer treatment later this month so I’m not going to be ride it until August or September. Selling my hornet..... not enough room for 3 bikes.
