Has there been a problem with this site or maybe with TalkTalk accounts. My password ceased to be recognised and I was forced to apply for a new one.

I've not had this issue, but I do keep getting logged out in-between browsing sessions even thought I have the settings set to automatically log me in.

Yep, that happens to me from time to time also for no apparent reason.
Also I was surprised to be shut out of the site and being told that my password wasn't recognised even though it is in place all the time.

I've not noticed anything strange, unless there has been some down time at the host and it was preventing logons..

Me either. I think the auto logout when password saved may be a server reset issue we have no control over.
