Curious if this is a common part that needs replaced eventually? not sure if mines had its day or just needs nipped up a bit. It costs a satanical £6.66 from D Silver (no. 91311KE8000)

O-rings can perrish over time so it wouldn't surprise me especially if you've recently removed/replaced the stat.
