Road to France Empty Road to France

Post by Hcb Sat 25 Aug 2018, 11:27 am

    Hello people.

Tomorrow, I will start a trip from Seville to Bordeaux, in France. The initial plan was to reach Mount St. Michel, but the lack of time

(and energy) has caused that option to be reconsidered.

Nevertheless, it is a great trip for me.

    About 2400 km Round trip.

I will rest in Salamanca, Burgos, Bilbao (basque country), Irún, and Burdeaux.

My dear CB500 has never let me down, but i have to admit that maybe it is not the most suitable bike for this.

Still, i prefer it to the TDM 900, a motorbike that in principle is better for these trips, but whish was a medieval torture for me.

One photo of the "beast" Very Happy. Wish me luck.. I´ll send some photos of the trip the next week. Bye!!

    Good luck!

Cant' see anything wrong with riding a cb 500 on such a trip.

"Robert M. Pirsig rode a CB77 Super Hawk on the trip he made with his son and their friends in 1968 on a two-month round trip from their home in St. Paul, Minnesota to Petaluma, California, which became the basis for 1974 the novel Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values."

What make are the paniers and the box at the back?

Your cb looks really nice by the way.

If I can do 1350 KM in a day on a bike that was having a massive fuelling problem you can do your trip no problem!

Enjoy, you won't read this until after but hope you took a lot of photos.

More than 3000 km of road, I arrived to Bordeaux, from Seville.
The best motorcycle trip of my life. I did not take many photos, I tried to enjoy the moment.
There were no serious problems on the trip, only the coolant escaped completely and the bike warmed up. Luckily, I was quick, completely filled the deposit, and I did not know about the problem again.
Some photos of Basque Country (North of Spain) and the photo with a tower.. Bordeaux.
