LED day lights
Hello
Has anyone any experience of fitting day running LED lights, and if so do you know if there is a blank/dummy connection point for this without slicing and joining cables? I am looking to connect them onto the dip headlamp circuit. I ride a 96T model and have heard that the connection block inside the headlamp shell can be fragile for this age of bike.
A daft question for your amusement! My pillion grab rail has corroded and looks a mess, it is also easier to clip bags over the back seat without it, am I right that it serves no mechanical purpose other than to provide a handle for pillions to grab onto and that it is safe to ride without one?
Thanks for reading and any replies.

Re: LED day lights
I would wire them through side lights on a switch personally,
but I was lead to believe they are day running lamps & are illegal to use after dark, That is what I was told be an mot tester,
but can be used during the day so if they are wire with side lamps you could ride with out dipped lights thus giving more charging power for things like heated grips

No, there is no 'easy' plug-in way of doing it. It isn't difficult to do though.
As mentioned you should have them on some kind of switch and/or with the sidelights.
No, as far as I know (and have seen) the pillion rail/handle is just that, so you can remove it if you want. Having said that, I suspect the condition could be easily fixed with some sandpaper and few coats of silver spray-paint from Halfords... you could then take other people on the back :)
