    1995 cb500 for sale Empty 1995 cb500 for sale

Post by Murray Thu 10 Jan 2013, 12:42 am

    Hi all
I have taken the hard decision to sell my CB500.
I have had some great times on this bike, done track days, travelled to Europe, completed last years national road rally and all done without a fault.
This bike has never let me down
Starts first time every time, serviced every 2500miles using silkolene oils and genuine Honda filters.
New plugs fitted every 6000 miles.
I have so much faith in this bike I would happily ride it back to France tomorrow.
Right the bike itself is a 1995 rear drum brake model,30 odd thousand miles(bike not with me at the moment so I can't check the exact mileage)
    Fitted with new bridgestone tyres,new ish chain and sprockets,stainless exhaust,motad silencer,renthal bars,oxford heated grips,puig fly screen,mini indicators.
I will also throw in a stainless steel high level exhaust link pipe and micron silencer the same as the racers use.
This pipe and Can make the CB500 sound like a low flying spitfire!!!
I will also throw in a set of soft oxford panniers and top bag.

This bike is a superb runner and is mechanically pampered.
The paint has been resprayed and is currently red (originally green)
I'm looking for offers on £750 but for forum members I will let the bike go for £650 for a quick sale this week.
The price will return back to £750 when advertised on flea bay next week.

If anyone wants pics of the bike then PM me and I will email them to you.

    Cheers for looking.

Edit : bike located just north of Manchester

Looks like a good deal to me... sadly I don't need another bike. You should probably put your rough location on the advert... (i might be being blind...)

I forgot to mention the bike is fitted with almost new Hagon rear shocks and Hagon progressive front springs.
In fact having written down all the bits fitted I feel I may be selling it a bit too cheap.
Still I will honour my first post and sell for £650 to a forum member, but will up the price to £800 on flea bay in six days.
    Grab a bargain.

It's easily worth £850. Don't let it go for peanuts!

    Hi all
Well I seem to have undersold my bike, had quite a few offers on it from forum members.
But I will stick to the original offer of £650 to forum members.
And as one member has pointed out if I was to break the bike I could easily sell the bits for more money.
    But here is the crunch.
The bike needs to be sold this week so I'm afraid those requesting pics and offering to buy need to arrive at my place with the cash within the next 5 days.
Thanks for the PM,s by the way.

Pictures sent to those who requested them.
I now have two members who want to view on Saturday.
Please PM me a mobile number so I can send a text.
I don't want anyone wasting a journey, but suffice to say it will be sold to the first person who has cash with them.
    Cheers
    Murray.

Bike has finally been out today, had to push it through 15 yards of soggy deep snow to get it to solid ground first.

Its fine, just what I was after! Big thanks to Murray, hope the Triumph is a good 'un.

Must be summat about CB500ers,so many seem to go down the Triumph route after a cb5. Good luck with the Speedie mate, excellent bike you will have loads of fun on it.I have an old 885 Sprint and love it to bits.
