Headlight burnt yellow
Hi,
I have just bought a 1998 CB 500S and all seems very sound except the headlight glass has been burnt yellow from the inside at the centre (using a halogen 55/60 bulb). When I touched the glass it was very hot (no surprise there!). Has anyone experienced a similar fault?

Re: Headlight burnt yellow
A previous owner may have used a bulb that was too higher wattage, then realised their mistake and changed back (50/60 is the standard wattage).
Unfortunatly, as you might have noticed, there isn't much you can do about it...
The headlight will get (at least) warm with the standard bulb in it, it shouldn't get *stinking hot* (a technical term :)....

It's got a 55/60W at the moment and the outside of the glass is pretty hot to the touch... I will monitor it and see. Thanks for the reply.
