Belly Pans??
Hi there,
I am considering getting a belly pan for my CB500 as I like fairing and am already have a skidmark GS style bikini fairing on order (which i plan on reviewing here and showing pics of). However I would be very interested in seeing peoples bikes who have belly pans or hearing from people who have belly pans on their bikes and what they think of them and how easy they to fit and the like.
Look forward to seeing those pics and reding reveiws and thoughts
Cheers

Re: Belly Pans??
I've got a belly pan fitted bought it from shep something on ebay. Its made out of fiberglass and it really good quality. I just fitted it with zippy ties. Only problem on the road is ground clearance. If you really throw it into a corner an get the suspension hunkering down then it ha a tenancy to bottom out. Also a problem if dropping down off curbs etc. But its standing up well to the abuse
will put some photos up later when I get on my pc

H G3o, look forward to seeing the pics :-) I am currently thinking about a skidmark belly pan as they offer different colours unlike powerbronze etc who just offer black and white. I am kinda used to watching curbs already as when I ride my fireblade I have to check there is a very low level curb or a nice drive way entrance or wheel chair entrance for me to whip up on to for safe parking.

Re: Belly Pans??
Here's a couple of pics of my bike with it's belly pan. This was when I got the bike a couple of years ago. Fair to say it's a bit tattier now.
There are a few on ebay at the moment.

Re: Belly Pans??
Just dragging this subject up again...
I am thinking of getting a belly pan but I would like the one that people use on there cb500s when racing because I like the look. Has anyone had one of these? Do they cause any problems on the road and do they rattle about if just held on by zip ties? And does anyone have a picture of theirs?
Thanks
Josh

Hi Josh,
Here is a pic of mine
Mine is held on with brackets, doesn't scrape the road and doesn't rattle about courtesy of the brackets

Yeh you can get the ones racers use on eBay. That's what I was thinking off but race bikes just use tie wraps don't they? Because they don't need the bike to look nice to race
