cb500 sport front fairing

 I have checked all the mounts and rubbers are in place on the bike but cant seem to stop it rattling. More annoyingly i cant see where its coming from. Does anyone know if the fairing had any foam or rubber stuck inside originally to stop this. Mine hasn't?

Afraid I can't help - I've got the naked version, however my bike rattled at around 4k when I got it - turns out one of the radiator shrouds (the plastic panels on the side) had a loose screw.

I don't know how the fairing on the CB500S is constructed, but I wander if some of the bolts or well-nuts are coming loose?  It can be worth grabbing bits and giving them a shake...

Could be any number of things: the fairing has two metal prongs that locate in to rubber ferrules on the fairing frame located just under the headlight - check the rubber hasn't perished? Also check the rubber ferrules on each side of the tank? That's where I would start. S
