CB500S screen Empty CB500S screen

I fitted an Ermax replacement (extended) screen to my wife's CB500S recently. Have to say I wasn't impressed, anyone else tried this?

Basically, it didn't fit, slightly the wrong shape and the fixing holes didn't line up. Double checked and it was the 'correct' screen for the model.

So left with the old conundrum of sending it back or modifying it. Took the latter action, but the poor shape led to a hairline crack in the fairing at the base - so there's another little repair job when I get bored!Mad

Good to know this. I wonder if the Wemoto offering is any better. Maybe it's the same make !

Hi Beresford

If it looks like this:

Avoid it, it was very frustrating!

But I think the lesson is, if it ain't a proper fit, take a photo to prove if necessary, and send it back!Smile

Hi - I have a 500s and it came with the higher screen - rubbish, even with my Scuberth S1 it windy and buffeting. I am 5' 8" so 'average'. I would like to try a standard screen to see if there is any significant difference, I think there will be because if I put my head as high as I can at 60'ish it seems quieter. Hope this is of some help. So if any one has a standard screen in the back of their garage rotting away, here is a good home for it...Cheers.
