1 and 3/4 bought

Finally bought a CB500 plus almost enough to make a second one for small money here in Ireland. Always wanted one since I saw a few rounds of the CB500 cup in Mondello Park about ten years ago. After members of this forum encouraged me to go ahead, I finally will collect next week.  We always need someone to blame for our decisions and I blame t'internet.

Collected and driven home yesterday. Great fun to ride, no weight, usual cb5 probs of corrosion, pealing engine paint, big miles and saggy indicators. Delighted. Also have most of another one in boxes so will be long nights in shed. Now for fettle and track days, though at my age should have more sense, but luckily for me I missed that lesson.

Throttle cables arrived and fitted. No problem.Previous owner had copper grease on all fittings so no issues with seized bits.
