Might get some mixed reactions to this, 2009 Suzuki SV650 S.

Just worried about winter riding and corrosion on a Suzuki, cant beat the build quality of a Honda. Plenty of ACF-50 me thinks.

I'll make the person who buys my CB500 aware of this club and advise them to join. Been a great help to me since I joined. Loads of useful info and very friendly, great bunch of people.

Re: What did you do with your CB500 today?
Just come back from a climbing adventure in Wales with my chums. CB500 loaded up with topbox, tankbag and an army surplus bergen bungeed on the passenger seat was surprisingly nippy along the A5 and blasting over the Llanberis Pass.
Had some good times climbing on Mt Tryfan, Idwal Slabs and Dinas Cromlech, which made up for the less good time on Friday climbing Milestone Buttress in the pouring rain. The gulley we abseiled down from the top had become a waterfall....
Now time to fit my new rear tyre...

Finally!
Picked up my new white Schuberth C3 Pro helmet, complete with pinlock antifog-lens. What a difference from the old and quite worn Caberg Duke.
The C3 isn't silent - no helmet is - but it's a lot quieter than the Caberg. And it's a lot more visible too!

Re: What did you do with your CB500 today?
I've got the similar C3 and I am very satisfied with my purchase. My last two helmets were the former Schuberth Concept. The first one saved my life in 2009 when I had an accident, so I bought the same one again. That was a very safe helmet, but the noise was horrible. It has been quite okay on bikes without a fairing, but on my CB500S and even worse on the BMW, the noise has been really annoying, starting at 50 km/h. Now that I got the C3 I can easily listen to my navigation system and riding at 100 km/h is more comfortable than the Concept at 50 km/h.

Thinking about getting a comms-system. But it's bloody expensive - around 250£. At least the existing version manufactured by Cardo. My local dealer told me there's a new version underway, but could give no further info than an approximate date - 1/7.
I've mailed Schuberth...

Yes, the Cardo system looks nice, but is way to expensive. I've got a Jabro bluetooth receiver with standard earphones -no frills, but it's doing it's job.

Do you ever go to rivvi barn Rob? Ive only ever seen another CB there once, a green one. Didn't find the rider though. Only asking as on here it says you are in stockport but the trader ad has a Bolton post code?
