I have mixed both brembo/ nissin calipers and master cylinders in the past and they both worked fine for me in any combination. PM me your address and I can send you one to try and see, as your last one has gone you have nothing to lose really. It has a braided hose on it too. Smile

But is the brake lever different ?? Brembo has a small rod from brake lever to cylinder piston. But Nissin has not. So wonder if lever is the same.Having said that my lever has gone as well Wink Surprised

yes lever is different, but if thats gone as well then its irrelevant. early cbr600, fireblade, vtr firestorm, etc, all have the same lever as the cb nissin MC.

It's easier to find aftermarket levers for the nissin mc too.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the racers prefer the nissin mc brembo calliper set up.

I think we can rule out a courier taking it, as I was probably the only courier that ever lived in that area Laughing

Not think it was a courier, probably my fault for polishing it up, looked like chrome. Was parked in a car park in Llangollen, not far from Horseshoe pass for about an hour. Mad Mad

Maybe fit the new one with security torx bolts? It won't guarantee it not happening again but it'll stop your average scrote.

Security torx aren't such a bad idea, if you can buy the appropriate driver to do them up Smile

I'm just surprised that someone would bother stealing a master cylinder and hose.  It's not like they are even worth very much!

Anyway, good luck in getting it fixed!

Good, but I fear that means that every scrote in town will also have one Sad

While every scrote has the ability to get them most won't have had the forethought. If someone wants something bad enough they'll find a way to take it. All we can do is make it difficult enough for them to decide to move on to an easier target.

It was probably taken by some young scrote who's dropped his bike. There's loads of 'incarnations' of the brembo mc used on lots of 125's and off road bikes. Especially European stuff .They won't care if piston is wrong size as long as it kind of works.

Many thanks for all your help and tips, is now sorted thanks to Andy. He sold me a Nissin master cylinder and brake lever along with a braided hose. All fitted fine. In some ways it is better because the brake lever is adjustable ,is not on Brembo set up. Have used some torx bolts as advised. Will be very careful where it is parked in future. Think was just a one off opertunist scum bag.
Once again many thanks folks for help. Dave Very Happy Very Happy
