Touring Screen
I thought I had already posted this so please forgive me if this is a repeat post...
I am planning a trip to the south of France in the summer, from Cumbria! So I thought I would fit better touring screen to my 500S.
Can anybody recommend one? Maximum protection. The vario one is £80, others are available for around £40. Is the vario worth the extra, does it work?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
UD

Skidmarx screens
I fitted the Skidmarx flip-up screen to my S. It is not that hard to fit and pushes the speed at which you get buffeted up by about 10 mph. Seems reasonable value for money but I think a long main road tripwould still work wonders for the arm muscles

Re: Touring Screen
Be carefull what you fit..different screens suit different people.
I went back to a standard screen from a double bubble on the Daytona.
The DB screen definately reduced the wind on my chest and shoulders and cut down on helmet buffeting, the downside was it increased the pressure on my wrists and shoulders, the wind supports your body normally, taking the stress off your wrists.
that said, your more upright to start with on a CB so it may not be so relevant, worth bearing in mind though.
Daft as it sounds, the DB stole a bit of fun to, it was quieter and less bufferting, but it felf more `sanitised`, less like a bike!
cheers H
