CB500 track lap-times?
A while ago someone on here posted a link to a site documenting lap times on british racing circuits for
This was proper fun to read! I noticed that given a proficient rider, the CB could keep up with the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari and whathavewe - or even beat them.
But. The link is gone. I cannot coerce the forum search function to help me find it.
Anyone who knows where this info can be re-found?
- Our humble CB500
- Various exotic cars

Re: CB500 track lap-times?
'twas I.
Here is the link to the Thundersport GB lap times. Thundersport 500 is the column headed TS500.
http://www.thundersportgb.com/index.php/downloads/doc_download/1003-new-lap-records-after-cadwell-park-finals-2015
The car times were, I think, from fastestlaps.com, e.g. http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/oulton-park-full-circuit
N.B. that a few of the circuits have two or more alternative layouts, so if the comparison seems too big that's probably why!
Does anyone know if the Thundersport 500 specs allow slick tyres? I'm guessing they don't. And I don't know what the 'rules' are for the records on fastestlaps.

no slicks. the series has always had controlled tyres, bridgestone bt045, bt003, s20, and now dunlop alpha 13.

I thought the Alpha 13 were only available in 110, 150, 160 sizes?

These are the sizes they are bringing into the UK :-

Although they do a wider range in Asia.
