Cb500 wider tyres
Hello guys! I need some help with my cb! I need new tyres and I want to put some wider tyres. What dimensions do you recommend?
P.S I searched in the forum but I didn't find anything...

Re: Cb500 wider tyres
I'm running 120/70 front and 140/70 rear. Why? I wanted to try radial tyres and I was hoping for better braking on slippery roads. So far I'm quite happy with this set-up. The bike still handles nicely and the roadholding has definitely improved.

No issues that I have noticed. The bike is as agile as ever.

Don't worry about the english, not many of us speak greek! :)
Yes, it is certainly possible to put wider tyres on the CB500 - as Beresford says, going one 'size' up to 120/140 should not be a problem.

Re: Cb500 wider tyres
I run 120/60 and 160/60 on mine.
I have changed to wider wheels to suit the radials though, radials are designed to run on wider rims than crossply tyres.
A point to note is that unless you declare them to your insurance company, you have provided them with an easy 'get out' clause should the worst happen.
