first ride

I took the old girl to preston docks this afternoon for its first ride and I found it very well balanced and the delkevic can sounded well without it being too loud

so here goes

Congrats. I'm assuming you left the baffle in?

Yeah was baffle in? The Fuels are quite loud w/out - but it only really gets too much north of 7k. Up to 6k it's loud but a quite deep, 'twinny' sort of tone. Which I love btw.

yes the baffle is in place, im still working on the photos I used to be able to post them easily with photo bucket but I think they are making it harder

thanks ashcroc , yes I will have a look at the clutch cable in the next week or so its how it was when I got the bike, just in plain red and no decals im fairly pleased how its turned out to say I did it with rattle cans

Yeah you did a good job on it.

Imho it does need one decal on it though

oh bugga, this now means that I'll have to buy you a cuppa at devils bridge some time   bike looks great though. I'm glad to hear that she's finally back on the road

I have just got a club sticker sorted with jerryfudd (guess what colour)

this afternoon I had a look at putting the clutch cable back into its guide but I soon realised that with the previous owner having changed the original bars for renthals that they were a bit wider and it made the cable a bit on the short side so it didn't quite reach far enough from out of the crank case through the guide and up to the lever very close but no cigar, so I just had to put it back as it was with a cable tie, next time I get a new cable I will see if I can get a bit longer one, and this one will do for now

These guys made mine. I think it was about £27. They make a lot of cables for guys with custom cruisers etc.
