Re: Rear shocks
As I recall, last time someone pointed these out, no-one had 'bitten the bullet' and bought some.
If you fancy a 50 quid bet, we would all be interested in the results :)
As I pointed out last time this came up, they might well be fine. The ebayer appears to accept returns, so if you don't like them (and you keep them in good nick) 'just' send them back.
Good Luck!

Re: Rear shocks
they look alright,I nearly went for some of those myself, ( mine work ok but look tatty) but was put off, and as they say you kinda get what you pay for most of the time, and shocks are an important part of the bike.
So, after a few glasses of red, I bit the bullet and ordered some Hagons.
Cheapest I found was here:

Just hope I get to the front door before the wife on Wednesday!!

Re: Rear shocks
Did you check the swing arm bearings yet? Hopefully you wont need shocks.
The rear end on my daytona was solid when I got it, I assumed the shock was nackered but when I took the wheel and rear shock off the swing arm didnt even drop down!..bearings kaput.
new bearings in and alls ok, cheaper than a shock too!
maybe you have the same issue?

In my opinion - and I totally agree with comments by hayden - you get what you pay for and Shocks are an important part of the bike...
It's not worth the risk for the sake of £60...! Go for the Hagons and I bet they'll not only give a better ride, but they'll far outlive those listed on ebay in your link...

Re: Rear shocks
I'm going to put my hand up here and admit to being stupid and buying these shocks of ebay. My original ones were looking a little tatty but still in good working order but I thought it would be nice to have a shiny pair on. What a mistake they are horrible, every time I go over a bump in the road it feeels like they are bottoming out and the handling isn't that good either. So tomorrow I'm going to get the old shocks out of the shed give them a good clean and put them back on and then sling these in the shed and forget about them. Then when the originals do go I will do the wisest thing and invest in a named brand of shock. So anybody looking at these don't buy them.

Thanks for this info - sorry to hear you got fleeced. Hopefully your info should stop anyone else doing the same thing.
Did you try and get your money back from the seller? Any luck?

Re: Rear shocks
According to the sellers ebay site they can be returned unused, I've had them on a few days now, I might e-mail and ask them but I think they will just proberly just say no. I just wanted to warn people not to waste their money on these.

If you clean them up carefully they will never know they have been used.....

Re: Rear shocks
Just a update, you can see they've been used even after a clean, and the web site says must be returned within seven days.

Chuck them on Ebay, they may not be to your taste but somebody will have them, at least you will get some money back..
