Original and custom exhaust

Hi People.

Thanks everybody for some information about exhausts.. I have read about delkevic, storm, and other brands.

But, i have a technical cuestion.

With custom exhaust, when i start the bike, it make a great "BANG", like a gunshoot. It scares me a lot, since it does not always happen. It is totally random.

I talked to my mechanic, and he says it's completely normal, because it lacks catalyst.

Is this happening to you?

The boud bang isn't  normal. It's a misfire or the ignition of unburnt fuel in the exhaust, might be worth checking the ring terminal under the reg/rec for its condition, other than that try turning your bike off differently to how you do. I personally always use the kills switch and then the ignition.
