New guy to the forum here!
Based in Norway, got my motorcycle license about a year ago.

Bought my first bike, a 1994 Honda CB500 from a local dealer.

Looked like this when i got it.
Pretty sure this is a aftermarket fairing on a originally unfaired bike.

Seat is torn, i have a replacement seat cover. Just have to change it Razz

Me not beeing a fan of fairings, I decided to change a few bits.
Ordered a LSL headlight, LSL headlight mounts, new smaller blinkers, Renthal bar, CRG bar end mirrors and complete Delkevic exhaust.
A chain and sprocket kit, oil and filters, sparkplugs and airfilters were also changed.

    Exhaust comparison:

Now the bike looks like this:

I have new tires laying around, will get those fitted i near future. Also thinking about a rear disc coversion.

    Best

Looks better now. Can't beat the naked look. As my old northern mate would say "Fairings are for southern shandy drinkers!" 😁😁

Me likes that minimalistic look! Actually, mine's also 'lost' the tank/radiator cowls and I've got mirrors similar to yours - foldable for when the filtering gets tough.

You've got a nice looking bike there!

Terje, what do you intend to do with the fairing? I quite like the look of it

So, I am in the middle of converting from drum to disc in the rear.
For some reason the chain rubs on the centre stand, where did I go wrong?
PS: nothing is tightened in thisMy 1994 Honda CB500 Pxl_2011 images.

The rubber that limits the rise of the center stand may be different.
It can also be supplemented or replaced by a piece of strong  wood.

I would apply the second blue lifter to the area of the center stand rather than to the aluminum crankcase.........

    So, this is embarrassing.
I had the exhaust removed for cleaning and polish, and the rubber end-stopper for the centre stand is off course a part of the exhaust.
Re-fitted the exhaust, and noe more problem Wink

Since my bike is a 1994 and did not have disc brake as standard, the mounting tab for the rear brake reservoar is missing.
I designed a simple bracket and started a 3d print.

Lets hope it fits as intended Razz

What? Too good for jubilee clips and cable ties are we?
Seriously though, well done. The bike is really coming together. Looks like you will have something to proud of once completed.

I'm quite amazed that you managed to get the original headers off the bike without snapping all the studs!

Mind you, it may not have been in as much weather as by '97 model...
