Front Brake Caliper Piston Sizes Empty Front Brake Caliper Piston Sizes

    Hi gys,

Front brake was seizing.  Found the issue to be a rusted in pin.

Anyway upon reassambly I noticed that I was leaking fluid around the pistons and seals.
The pistons are scratched and probably need replacing. As well as the seals.
Anyway, on my bike they are very definitely 2 different sizes.

Is this normal? On ebay I can only find sellers selling 1 piston.

    It's a 1999 CB500s (sx? I think)

Anyway does anyone know if I need the 2 different sizes or can just buy 2 standard cb500 caliper pistons?

    Cheers guys,

    Scott

Hi Scatcat, according to my Haynes manual the upper piston is 32mm and the lower piston is 30mm so you are correct. To replace them you will need one of each.
