Re: Hello all....
Thanks.....glad you like it!
The background is I'm a retired engineer and along with a friend have a part time business customising/restoring bikes....
https://altracustoms.co.uk/
The idea behind the CB500 project was to design a set of panels to give it a new look, mechanically its virtually unchanged, the rear of the subframe is shortened by approx 100mm and the electrical components re located under the seat, the loom is unaltered except that the starter motor lead is a bit longer.
There are a few areas to tidy up yet but we plan to sell a kit of parts consisting of 11 new fibreglass panels, tail light, indicators, the upholstered seat pad and various brackets/fixings for somewhere around the £800 mark....
Have just bought another CB500 and when thats done this current one will be up for sale!!!

Re: Hello all....
Absolute top job. Can I ask what is the can? I've tried different ones and currently have a modified gsxr750 can which does the job but is rather bulky and somehow not as quiet as I thought it would be.

Not sure where the can came from...it was a used one on ebay! Sounds good and well made but no makers name on it, the link pipe is Black Widow though
