First ever RealLife(TM) Armchair Adventure Festival - in the UK, Sept 24-26
Spread the word.
The Armchair Adventure Festival is coming to town. At least if you live in the UK.
But, you may ask, what is "The Armchair Adventure Festival"?
It's a chance to meet some of the legends from today's motorcycle adventure, overlanding and Round The World touring scene.
Real live adventurers. How about that? People like Tiffany Coates, Simon & Lisa Thomas, the Sidecar Guys and Steph Jeavons to name a few.
They gather at Mt Edgecumbe near Plymouth on the weekend of Sept 24-26 2021 - and you can join them for a weekend of fantastic tales, knowledge sharing and general awesomness.

https://www.armchairadventurefestival.com/about (the Sidecar guys sure are a nice - and slightly bonkers - couple of lads)

https://www.armchairadventurefestival.com/activities (don't miss this one...)
Why would I recommend this thing? Because I took part in the Armchair Adventure Festival Bootcamp on February 2021 and walked away with a ton of info and inspiration. It's all still available here. So; share the love! Tell those fortunate enough to be able to go, that there's an opportunity here...
On that subject, you really should check out Matt & Reece. They're the initiative-takers and deserve not only credit but support, because they're on a quest to combat modern day slavery.
You may find it interesting to read about that here:

And what exactly did these two completely normal(?) London blokes then do? Well - this: https://asseenfromthesidecar.org/blog/category/the-trip/
Bonkers!
Matt & Reece execute the Armchair Festival. That in itself is reason enough to go.
Now, please have a look-see at the links above and then ask yourself if your CB500 can do more. At first, it could go to Mt Edgecumbe - and then somewhere else? Far away. Adventure...
Ted Simon took his Triumph Tiger 100 (500cc...) RTW back in the early seventies. You own a 500cc bike. Now, think.
EDIT: I've just found a super-cool example. A discussion on the subject of travel then and now:

Have fun!
