Best bike ever?
Just reflecting on my CB, bought as a winter 'hack' and workhorse so I didn't rack up lots of dull expensive miles on my other bikes (KTM SD 990 and GSX R750), it's the bike I now use (by quite a big margin) the most, I've learnt more about servicing on it than on any other bike I've owned, I worry less about leaving it parked up in town; I think it's becoming my fav of the 3
Has anyone else experienced this, or have I just had one too many beers on a Sunday afternoon...?

Hair of the dog then Steve!
You're right; and although I'm slightly biased because I've only ever owned my CB5 I've riden a fair few different bikes and you cannot beat the CB for its all round ease of use, frugalness and it's a piece of piss to repair/service/source parts for!

I like my CB5 (maybe I'm biassed).
There's a lot to be said for any bike that can tackle most things and do well, is cheap enough you don't mind leaving it in town and can still give bigger bikes a run for their money.

I prefer my CB5 over my Triumph Street Triple 3 for every day riding because the CB5 is kinder on my man-vegetables. It absorbes more humps and bumps from the rubbish roads whereas the ST3 suspension is a lot firmer... The CB5 is also easier in town and the engine doesn't usually get too hot... The Triumph engine gets really hot in stationary traffic / town and the heat makes for betty swollocks...
However, open roads, no back-pack and removed baffles from the Arrow cans... The Triupmh will win every time for pure adrenaline...
But the thing is, when I'm bored of the Triumph and change it for the next new toy, the trusty spirited CB5 will still be in the garage and it will still be my bike of choice to be used every day and most importantly, despite being less powerfull, it still makes me smile
