Look here: http://www.customfighters.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22432g.

Some of you will like it, some of won't. I'm not convinced I like the style, but I was impressed that he did it.

Not really my cup of tea but fair play he's put a hell of a lot of work into it.

hmmmmmm 10/10 for effort but i never under stand why people mess with the best bit of the cb500 ie the ride and the handling . if you want mono shock buy a cbf500. any way its a nice bit of modern art now if you like that sort of thing . theres nicer standared bikes on the old site.

first two pictures are the best lol

im more inpressed that hes got the balls to ride it with that swing arm on it lol

I like how clean he's made it but I'm not keen on the swingarm at all lol.

Rad and hoses look pretty cool too.

I just can't see the point. That's a hell of a lot of work, I'm sure it would have been easier to just buy a different bike. What some folk will do for kicks...

These people are not your normal mundane biker, they are creative artists who's medium is engineering and their subject motorcycles. Wink

I did think that the new shock brackets on the swingarm/frame looked a bit dubious - I (personally) would have wanted those steel brackets to be a bit thicker and to have used a proper bolt, not a threaded stud...... but each to his own!

I gotta say, my CB streetfighter project has also been met with the same remarks about how i could just "buy a better bike with the money i spent".

Its not about just owning a better bike, its all about style and personal taste. The main reason however that i am pouring money over my CB is purely a learning process to help me go from bike mechanic to custom builder. i chose the CB because it is a great bike as standard and any modifications i do to it will both be alot cheaper than on bigger bikes and do nothing but good for its ride.

the extended swingarm on the other hand will destroy what this bike does best but saying that, i kinda like how it looks.
