what mods have you tried??

hi all, new to the forum...and to the bike

passed my restricted test last month and bought my CB500 almost straight away...

i've added a waterproof fone case to the bars thats detatchable...
i've added a fone charger, soldered it to the rear lights, but its not drawing enough power through the wires so im goin to re-do it...
i've added a set of speakers and mini amplifier which work great...

just really want to kno whats mods any of u have added...

I've changed a few bits over the years;

Motad downpipes & silencer, replaced with a Laser stainless system because the motad can rotted through as you can see from my avatar pic!
Heated grips, I fitted Daytona Hot Grips, highly recommended especially on a frosty morning!
Hagon rear shocks
Renntec luggage rack
Bullet indicators on the front and an indicator beeper
LED stop/tail light; no more blown bulbs!

it came with a harris race can, which is stupidly loud, had a guy on a gsxr 750 tryin to race me, musta mistook me for a done up hornet lol

it all came with:
mini indicators
luggage rack
standard exhaust can
engine bars
new set of wide renthals
cargo net
and low genuine milleage......

cant say i was swindled outta a grand for it...

I've also got the Hagon shocks, they're ok but they are budget, delkovic can, also fitted engine bars as I do a lot of hustling around town, apart from that it's all pretty much standard. I've not done heated grips as I much prefer heated gloves - so I wired the glove connector to the second front light.

Teamster; what's the story on led tail lights? I've had the rear light blow a few times on me so would def like to get that sorted in time for winter.

also interested in the rear LED lights...dnt like the stock so much...

any1 know of a good paint shop...need to get my panels sprayed metallic black or gloss black...last owner got em painted matte and the weather hasn't been kind to the paint job....

It's a straight swap for the existing bulb; I bought mine as part of a helmet stop light system (quite a clever bit of kit; there's a transmitter/receiver in the bulb so when you brake it lights up your crash helmet as well!)
They sell the individual bulbs on ebay with the offset bayonet fitting; here's a link.
