Avon Tyre Empty Avon Tyre

Post by dja57 Fri 25 May 2012, 6:23 pm

Hi

Back to biking after 30 years with CB 500, I have noticed at town speeds, particularly on one bad road, that the front tries to follow/float when it hits imperfections. Any ideas the tyre has plenty of tread.

thanks in advance

I've found that the pressure is the biggest cause of tramlining, have you check these?

stock pressures are 29 on front and 33-36 on the rear. BT45's are 36F 40R, so maybe try increasing?

I run 40R 32F with Avon roadriders and it seems better than stock pressures. Try it for yourself see how it go's
