Solved Wind shield

Post by rongsted Sat 21 Jul 2012, 9:40 am

I got a CB500 from 1999 with motorcycle fairing. Every time I drive 70 mph I get a lot of pressure om my chest. Do anyone know a good wind shield which can protect me against the wind?
Best regards Morten :-)

Forgive my use of words :-) I'm Danish :-)

Well since nobody knows what to do, here is what i've done.
I've bought a Vario VTA4 wind shield.

I'll let you know how it goes:-)
Best regards Morten :-)

Solved Re: Wind shield

Hi,

bit late on this one but...

Puig double bubble - attaches to headlight, takes windblast off chest but if you move around on the bike (e.g. in corners) then still get the windblast. Good compromise for general use.

Givi roadstar, big ol thing that again attaches to headlight. Makes fast speeds easy enough (screen has a flip up top) but same prob as above, just more so - bike can get a little unstable. Great for touring on motorways, take it off for twisty roads.

Powerbronze viper upper fairing - has inclusive lights so a mission to fit. Certainly makes cruising easier (various screens available) but can be noisy and the mirrors fit to the fairings brackets and can get blurry. Makes the bike look bigger!

Solved Installing the MRA Vario VTA4 windscreen

Post by rongsted Fri 07 Sep 2012, 7:54 pm

Well since last time I've installed the windschreen. I forgot to tell you that my bike is installed with a TCP fairing!!! The glass is thin so insted og installing it 20 mm from the the edge I installed it 40mm from the edge. It works perfectly. It's so nice not to be hit by the wind doing 160 km/h!!!!
It's so easy to install!!!
