Renthal 755 bars
Hi,
I've renthal 759's on my bike, they are fine but some 755's have come my way. Anyone got these fitted and do the throttle cables reach? (I've got extended clutch and choke cables already).
From memory, the drilled out stop for the throttle assembly is 15cm from the end of the bar - anyone know for sure?
cheers

Re: Renthal 755 bars
If i recall 755 are road bike medium bars?
If so, i do have those on my CB. I have all stock cables and all are working properly. I did have to reroute the choke and throttle cables to stop them pulling at full lock but they now work fine.
My throttle cables i had to run around my forks rather than between them but this hasn't been a problem for me so far, i'll upload a picture as soon as i get a chance. I also have my bent stock handlebars in the garage so i can measure the distance to the drilled hole for you, the 755 bars are a couple inches wider than stock, as im sure your other renthals are

cheers, I reckon the throttle cables will be tight so I'll best move them.

Re: Renthal 755 bars
here are the pics of said handlebars on my ratty old cb :p
i hope these are useful. the cables dont get in the way while riding even though some don't pass between the forks anymore. But the throttle cables do press against the radiator cowl slightly at full lock when pushing it about.
as far as why, my originals were bent by the previous owner
i put on renthal bars because they are cheaper, lighter, stronger, better built and better looking than stock, the extra height is useful too as im well over six foot
them being wider might be annoying if you filter a lot, but i filter all the time and it hasnt been an issue to me. they will probably change the feel of the bike somewhat, but its new to me so i havent really noticed.

Re: Renthal 755 bars
Cheers for the pics, your bars look higher than the 759's which are ultra lows iirc. Glad the cabling can be shuffled around successfully, I'll be drilling the stop hole at the weekend.
As to why fit renthals - quality items as said. Better leverage as they are wider, feel more natural than stock bars too and are an easy way to get the bike to be comfortable for you. They alter how much weight is over the front end whilst you are riding.
