Renthal flat bars
I'm wanting to get some renthal flat bars and because I'm new to big bikes and haven't done any mods on my 125 I was wondering if it would be a big job to put these onto my cb.
Would they need to be drilled? Would the lines reach? Has anyone done it before with these bars that are so flat?

They are the ones I'm looking at
Thanks
Josh.

Re: Renthal flat bars
they will fit ok, but you will have to drill a little hole for the throttle switch gear to locate into so it doesnt spin round on the bars.

Excuse the mess haha but they went on easily, no need to re route any wiring just needed to drill a hole on the right hand switch gear.
Personally think the look mint but I'm a bit bias as it's my bike. Only down fall, limits turning circle like a sports bike because bars hit the tank. Nothing to be worried about definitely worth it.

Looks good. Thanks for the photo.
Now, go and tidy up that garage - it's playing havoc with my OCD

Haha don't worry guys, I've got more shelves now so it's all nice and tidy. It's just packed with 4 bikes in it!

They look good. Have you had the bike MOT'd since you put them on?
I feel that I should point out that if the bars stop on anything other than the steering stop (like the tank, for example) then it should fail... or do you have a very friendly MOT man?

I didn't actually know that but yes I have a friendly mot man but why wouldn't it pass for that? Never heard of it before

Re: Renthal flat bars
You are supposed to be able to operate all the controls at all positions of the handel bar - if the bars contact the tank then you can't correctly operate the throttle, hence the fail.
I suspect that, like with number plates and exhausts, there is good deal of leeway on this... if you are unsure I would speak to the MOT place and ask their opinion - they may not care.
If you are interested about this or other MOT stuff, then look here:

you can download the MOT manuals.
