Stainless downpipes?
Right - before I go through the yearly ritual of repainting with useless heat resistant paint, does anyone have any SS downpipes they want rid of?
I'll happily give you the same money you would have got on Ebay, without the messing about and silly emails. Alternatively, does anyone know of anywhere selling new ones for reasonable money? £130 odd is a bit steep to spend on my old CB!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Stainless downpipes?
I did see some on ebay when i was looking that where around £75 new. I don't know if they are still there but they had a load of them.
Unfortunately I left the missus to order them while i was at work... the £75 SS pipes soon became £140 SS Chromed pipes.......
The moral of the story.... Don't let my missus do anything technical!!!!

Re: Stainless downpipes?
I literally just sold my on fleabay last week. Went for £53 with £15 P+P. However, I did see this...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-CB500-CB-500-94-Exhaust-Front-Down-Pipes-/400117933238?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d28e324b6
These look exactly the same as the ones I sold and mine were SS so there is a good chance these are too. Mine looked crappy with a machine buffer it will buff out like new. Emaill them as ask if its magnetic, if it is then its probably SS and its bloody cheap. If its not SS then its back to square one again

Re: Stainless downpipes?
Thanks - I just got an answer to my question to the seller. He reckons they're stainless so I just bought them. If he's right then they're a 25 quid bargain!
We'll see whether I've been had or not when they arrive...
I wonder if some heat resistant paint would help keep the rust off?
