Hi,
I've changed the insurance so I can keep a bike in my porch (outside the house) and was going to put in a cctv arrangement if its easy and relatively cheap to do.
Anyone use cctv or a helmet cam? I thought I could rig one up to the pc if it had nv/motion sensor capability built in.

There are various home CCTV set ups about ranging from quite cheap B&W hooked up to a DVR & monitor to more expensive ones that'll stream straight to your smartphone or the internet.

It all depends what your after really but expect to spend at leat £200-300 for a decent multicam all weather system.

If your just looking for a camera to hook up to an old PC/laptop you have it'll be substantially cheaper & I wouldn't be surprised if there's some free software about on the linux forums.

On the upside it should lower your insurance premiums once it's installed. Wink

Ive been thinking about a baby monitor as a cheap solution for my garage, seems like it would attract my attention better than a screen and would cost next to nothing to set up.

Pretty sure my jingling chain as some scrote fiddles with it would set the dog off too. Mind you, the angle grinder or C4 they would need to get the Almax off would probably wake up half of London anyway :p
