Hi geewhiz,

I have fitted that kit to my CB500V last year and the brakes have been great. They look good and are easy to fit even for a "novice brake line fitter" like me.

I would recommend them. The price is excellent and the quality is good.

Cheers,

Steve

I eventually bought the s/s braided front line from the company. i think i may be in a minority when i felt a bit anticlimactic about the results. While braking hard it does feel like less effort and more responsive but the difference is not as significant as id hoped. I'm confident that i fitted them well and I doubt fitting a different brand would make any difference.
Changing the fork oil has definitely made for the most notable handling improvement. keen to know what others think about both s/s braided hoses and general handling improvements...

I love my braided hose, it feels much better than before.
I also replaced the pads with brembo sintered ones, previous ones had bits missing!
Agreed, replacing my fork oil with made a big difference, the forks had been leaky before.
I may put hagons in but right now they work great. Keeping tyres pumped up makes a big difference, and all the garage and foot pump gauges I've seen read low, I use one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/RACE-PROFESSIONAL-TYRE-PRESSURE-GAUGE/dp/B000VZ8S26/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1373761073&sr=8-2&keywords=tyre+pressure+gauge they are great.
What else can you do for handling? Its summer, maybe fit some sticky rubber?

I've used HEL and Goodridge s/s hoses on CB500s and they work great. I believe they'd feel better with after-market fork-springs and fresh oil. I plan to do this to both my bikes when funds allow.

How much better they feel depends on how knackered your old brake lines were.

The main advantage of stainless braided hoses is that they don't degrade, don't rust and will
just 'keep working'.

The brake hoses are meant to be renewed every four years anyway so you might as well put braided ones in. I'm wondering if I should put one in the rear brake.
