Digital Guages Empty Digital Guages

I'm thinking of fitting a digital guage to my '96 CB500 & was wondering if the speedo pick-up from a CBF500 would fit to send the pulse signal to the new speedo. If it does, what parts would I need from the CBF?

I've looked into this. The CBF's crankcases are different as the speed sensor reads off the gearbox. More details available on this site.
