Best Heated Grips for CB500?
Can anyone recommend heated grips that are easy to fit to a CB500 and do the job? I spent most of the winter with numb fingers....

I don't know. However, I do know that whatever hot grips you buy, make sure they're not Oxford.
Crap.
I have these ones and they're forever pissing about. Having to hold down the power button for 10 seconds, every bloody day, to reset them is particularly annoying. Oxford's claims of 'built in intelligence' (they mean obsolescence) are complete bollox. They WILL drain your battery if left on.
Definitely not worth the seventy-odd quid they charge for them. I have mine wired into the pilot light.

I agree with the last post Oxfords are terrible, I have them fitted to my TDM (came already fitted) the heat is never constant, rubbish!
I have RG set fitted to the CB5, not had any trouble with these, and they are cheaper, been on the bike over 3 years.

Hmm, my Oxfords have worked perfectly. Nowhere near as good as the Tucano Urbano muffs I have on the second bike though. If you wanted you could ride in any conditions without gloves and still be warm! Take a bit of getting used to though as they're massive.

I've not had any issues with my Oxfords, they've worked very well, although I think I have a slightly newer version judging by your control panel thingy-a-ma-bob.

Hi
Clearly an oxford copy buti have these on my cb500 for the last3 and half years. Work a treat. Best grips I have ever used, even compared to 250 oe honda ones on my cb1300. I have fitted the roxter ones to 4 bikes and all have been trouble free. I did wire straight to battery though so you do have to remember to turn them off.

Indeed, I've only put 1500 miles on them, so time will tell in the end.

I fitted the new Oxfords in the autumn, wired into ignition. tap the button & they heat immediately; only need them at 50% setting for most but the coldest days. Great job.
Like any grips they only heat the inner hand & if you want to do it right you need hand guards to keep the wind chill off the backs of your hands, as well.

I've been using Daytona Hot Grips for a few years now, they transform winter riding! (Which is ironic seeing as spring is upon us )
