Istalling heated grips
I got some oxford premium heated grips.

I don't have much mechanical experience so I would appreciate if you could answer some basic questions.
What type of screwdriver do I need to remove the stock bar ends?
The grips come with a bracket for the switch that mounts on the clutch clamp.
What type of screwdriver do i need to take the clutch clamp screws out?
Thanks

Re: Istalling heated grips
The end weight screws are 5 allen (on mine anyhow).
The bracket for the control unit gets fitted to the handlebar, just inside (ie to the right of) the clutch bracket - you shouldn't have to touch the clutch bracket itself, at all.

The stock weights use a Phillips screw.
If you can mount the switch just about anywhere else I'd advise it. I have it on the clutch clamp & it does a very nice job of getting in the way of the choke. Can't remember off hand what size the clamp bolts are but I'd start with 7 or 8 mil & then go up or down til I find the socket that fits.

There's no place on the handlebar to put the bracket screws. How did you fit the the control unit bracket to the handlebar?jonny10 wrote:The end weight screws are 5 allen (on mine anyhow).

Ah right, I see your difficulty now, doh!. Just checked & I was able to fit the control unit back plate into a clamp that holds a handguard on the handlebar at that point.
