Re: Post a photo of your bike!
well i did three 120 mile trips this week on the cb, doing nightshifts and it was all on motorways arriving home at 5am in rain and cold and damp roads, cant say it was plesant but cb was good, i think if i was commuting all the time i have to get heated grips for sure. ( sorry about the in bits garden i get around to it)

Re: Post a photo of your bike!
Yeah that was me, my fairing is cracked after a low side one winters night. I only saw one other CB500 while I was there, are you still there now?

Re: Post a photo of your bike!
Fortunate to live on the island, so no booking TT accomodation or ferries worries for us! No work last week, so got plenty miles in during this lovely (& unusual for TT) weather. Been giving the cb5 a rest though, ready for some off-island trips, and using my old superdream. Back at work today, but off to watch the Red Arrows in Douglas tonight & hopefully back to Port Erin to catch a bit of Italian Night

CB500s
Here's my CB500s, a few modifications listed below:
Carbon fibre fender extender,
New Radiator,
Scottoiler,
Fork stanchion protectors,
Painted the engine black (after the original flaky silver),
Full stainless exhaust with carbon end can,
Spare clutch cable,
Bagster tank cover,
Mini Indicators,
Brighter headlight,
New mirrors,
I'm in the process of wiring in a power socket and I have a new seat on it's way as the old one has a small tear in it (eBay steal, cheaper than a replacement seat cover!) The only other things I'd consider doing to it are repainting/refitting the crash bars, fitting some hagon shocks and getting adjustable levers.

Here's my CB500
This is as bought last year...It's now got a more upright Givi screen on it as although it looks nice this one wasn't too good at motorway speeds. Also now has a Motad exhaust and Hagon shocks.
The engine cases have been done in a sort of gun metal grey, which I quite like as it seems to suit the red and black...

Looks OK to me. Did you realise you can pull the seat off, instead of having to prop it?
