fuel tank breather hoses
Hi,
I had the bike in a few pieces a couple of weeks ago (handlebar changing, cable re-routing etc) and finally got round to a decent roadtest today. All fine, smooth and cb5-like. No top of the revs activity though, I just fancied a cruise round.
Anyway, got home and quick check revealed I'd not reattached the fuel breather hoses under the right of the tank. So, although I wasn't going quickly, do these hoses make much difference? I can't see that they do, but will reattach them anyway because Mr Honda put them there for a reason.

Re: fuel tank breather hoses
if you are talking about the ones on the opposite side of the tap one is the fuel over flow and the other is to drain rainwater that collects under the filler

Re: fuel tank breather hoses
did you make sure the vacuum had a good connection and seal from the tap to inlet - likewise for the blanking screw on the opposite side I put a little instant gasket on the tube and screw.
likewise for anything that can draw in air I've found that it can give some real poor performance

Hi,
yep that's them, ta. All screws tight and the hose checked. Will have the revs nice and high soon enough, might do a carb balance if any probs.
cheers
