Electrical Issue
Evening all,
Firstly, apologies this isn't about my cb, just a general question.
I'm trying to trace an electrical fault on my winter project and was wondering if you could help as you're always such a helpful bunch. On the 4 pin connectors, should I only get a reading on my multimeter from 2 of the pins?
Thanks if you can help, sorry if that wasn't explained very well, I'll try and get a picture on tomorrow

Are we talking about a motorbike ? If so, you'll have to give more information about the circuit. What's connecting to which and so forth. And by the sound of your question whether it is a bike with a conventional 3 phase generation system.

Re: Electrical Issue
You could have permanent live, switched live, neutrals...
As Beresford says we need to know what circuit the plug is on.

Yeah sorry didn't know if that'd explain it. It's the plug between the ignition switch and the cable that goes to the battery. It is from a bike, a chinese ripoff of a C90. Hopefully that link above will take you to a picture. That's what it'll plug into. Any help?
Cheers

Excellent thanks, it looks like it could be the case that two give a reading and two don't then. I'll have to get a look at the colours of the wires tomorrow, no light in the garage. Thanks for that.
