Re: raising the forks through the yokes
Hi,
You'll find 3/4 inch a big change. I'd say make changes by increments, say 5mm until you get the feel you are looking for. The bike handles fine to start with so be sure you know what you want from the change.
Remember that the racers run Hagon suspension front and rear, the front with heavier oil than recommended. A race bike does feel much firmer sprung than stock. Their bikes get a lot more suspension stress than road use too.
One of my bikes runs f and r Hagons, I've the forks dropped 5mm, its enough to sharpen the handling a bit on roundabouts etc without upsetting things when I'm taking fast sweepers.

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
I've lowered a few bikes for my wife by shaving a bit off the seat foam, including taking a bit off the sides - the more your legs are spread, the less of them there is to reach the ground!. I've usually got away with refitting the original cover. She's got a monoshock bike atm, which came with a handy lowering kit - made me wonder if someone like Tekbikeparts.com could supply shorter rear shocks. I'm currently playing with some old Superdream shocks. Hacked a bit off the spring & shortened the damper arm, but I'd prefer shop-bought ones!

yes I would prefer to lower both ends as you say it would be better with shorter rear shocks as well as lifting the forks

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
if you want to lower the bike then go for shorter rear shocks and a lower seat. dropping the forks through the yokes will sharpen the steering but on its own wont make a huge difference in ride height.

no I think it would only try and put it into a nose dive I need to do both ends and the seat you are right

I put mine through 10mm when I built it, handles just fine so haven't tried anything else.

yes I think that is where I want to be plus I would love to find some rear shocks that are a bit shorter but not at some wallet emptying price

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
if you want to go the second hand route for rear shocks then look for some off a heavier bike that are shorter, then they will give you a lower ride whilst being stiffer on the lighter weight cb.

that could be an option, you wouldn't happen to know which make of shocks and bike

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
cant remember now, i just trawled ebay looking for the same mount fitting on heavier bikes and messaged them asking for the length eye to eye.

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
if you are looking for shorter rear shocks have you spoken to Hagon or particularly Tec as I believe theirs just come out to a thread then the fitting winds on as they could be able to supply a shorter unit or something sprung to your needs and the price might not be as bad as you expect.

Re: raising the forks through the yokes
The basic alloy shox from Tec have a removable threaded lower section and adjustable spring abutments for height adjustment. These should answer your need.
