Naked yokes on a faired frame? Empty Naked yokes on a faired frame?

Post by rustensens Sun 18 Nov 2012, 10:55 am

    Hi all

I've just bought a 500s that has been converted to a naked model. The previous owner has done a reasonable job of it, using headlamp brackets that clamp round the fork tubes etc.

I'd like to do it properly, but I know I'd need to swap the current top and bottom yoke for those off a naked model (as these have the holes in for the proper headlamp mount).

Before i go ahead and get a set of naked yokes from a breaker, has anyone been here before me? I just want to check that the yokes are fully interchangable between the naked and faired models?

    Any help or thoughts appreciated!

I *think* they are the same... someone has definitely done this... you'll also need the 'frame' bit that fits between the two yokes and (of course) a headlight.

If the previous owner has done a good job you might be better (certainly cheaper) sticking with/fixing what you have got...
