exhaust link pipe
Hi folks,
I bought a fuel exhausts end can for £30, but just the end can. It's a tad dented but otherwise okay. I cant seem to find the link pipe needed for sale on ebay, wemoto, or google. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap link pipe to fit?

Fuel will probably sell you one if you contact them. They offer a 5% club discount too!
Delkevik is another option & their one has the loop for the drain tubes as well as the centre stand stop. Would be a good idea to make sure the pipe diameters are the same before buy from them though.

I contacted fuel but probably closed for weekend. I'll search delkevic ones as well then. Thanks!

delkevic is good as is beowulf but beowulf no longer make them. Both of them have the stop for the main stand.

Re: exhaust link pipe
thats not a worry for me right now, it doesn't have a center stand sadly. I'm more interested in cheapness. Was considering mounting it without the link pipe, but i think that would probably be a bad idea. I just dont know why!

this sort of thing?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261075860878?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
cheap and would give you more clearance, but you may need to make/modify the hanger for silencer

Just seen this and was going to recommend the same thing as geewhizz has. I have used one of them on mine.

Re: exhaust link pipe
I've ordered that and a baffle for it. All in all about £50 for a fuel classic exhaust to replace the rusty tin can thats on it now. I'm ridiculously excited to get the bits and fit them. Think ill sand the downpipes and paint them at the same time. Then i need to think about radiator fan which does not come on and then the rear shocks which are on their last legs but that will need to wait until my finances are in a better state. I really should have looked here in the bikes for sale section before buying, i realise now i paid a bit too much for my bike but i think when Im done it will be *mine* and that will be good.

I bet that will be a lack of earth on the radiator. The switch relies on the radiator being earthed. The radiator mountings corrode and the earth connection becomes bad. The fix is to run another earth to the radiator (obviously!).

Good to know, i haven't looked at it yet as it hasnt been much of an issue, it runs pretty cold unless I'm in heavy, stopped traffic. Once i got the cloud of spitting steam. I'll look at the earth first when i find the time.
