Has anyone fitted handlebar risers?
I'm thinking of fitting some handlebar risers and wondered if I will need to
change any cables or hoses etc.
I have seen some on ebay, but at about £30 they seem a bit pricey,
anyone know where I may find some a little cheaper, new or used?
Thanks.

I have just put some on mine fit fine. Just to make you aware in your search the ones I have have been fitted so far to a BMW1150GS and Honda transalp and an XR400 so all the same.

I got some for mine, yes the £30 ones off ebay, all my cables etc fit normally and I prefer the riding position. It doesnt seem a lot of rise at 30 mm but for me anyway it is perfect.

Re: Has anyone fitted handlebar risers?
Hi so everything raises up OK with these, cables, brake pipes, electrics etc, no need for longer bits then.
Sounds good.
How does it feel once done, more relaxed ??
Thanks.
Best Mark.

Re: Has anyone fitted handlebar risers?
I purchased the risers from ebay and fitted them without having to buy
extended cables etc.
I thing I did find, is that on full left hand lock the throttle cables appeared
tighter than I was happy with, this was remedied by disconnecting the clutch
cable (from the lever end) and relocating the route of it, effectively uncrossing
it from the throttle cables as they exit from under the tank.
I find the more upright riding position much better, from the point of view that
my arms/elbows aren't taking as much weight, but the new position means that
you catch more of the wind as is comes over the top of the fairing (CB500S).
Overall, I am pleased that I fitted them.
