Rectifier location
I've fitted fireblade coils to my bike, I now have a big space where the old ones were. Does anyone think that this would be ok to relocate the rectifier to this space better ventilation etc my year old rectifier has died again.

Re: Rectifier location
I did this with my mosfet even though it didn't need the additional cooling

Re: Rectifier location
Should be fine. You just need to make sure you use suitably thick cable and do the joints/insulation properly.

Re: Rectifier location
Thanks all, yes R1 MOSFET rectifier, thick cable, joints soldered, wired direct to battery and up front in the breeze im hoping that sorts it. All info on fireblade coils in the upgrade section, well worth it picks up much stronger.

Re: Rectifier location
The SH775 Series R/R from Shindengen can be sourced from Polaris dealers at about £70. It is only suitable for engines which rev to about 10000rpm. Above that there is a later Shindengen series type, the SH847AA which is more expensive. It was first used on some Suzuki models in 2014.

Ok so a fh020aa sourced (cbr500) I need 60amp wire for positive (with an inline fuse) and negative but what rating wire for the three yellow wires from stator to the rectifier, do I need 60 amp for these too?
