CB500 Flat-Tracker Style
I own a Cb 500 from 99, is my second bike.
Last year we (me and my wife) moved in London (we are from Romania).
After a month the bike was stolen. Lucky me, the police found the bike
after one week and at first sight looked OK, with 200 pounds I made it
usable, but later discovered a problem with the right cylinder and now I
have to rebore the engine.
This is my "streetfighter" project, a flat-tracker style cb 500.
I took the picture just after I cut the "subframe"
Before I started working I head on the bike :
- Hornet fork
- CBR wheels,
- CBR front brake plus brake disks
- KTM duke headlight unit
- Suzuki DR handlebars
- R6 (copy) rear light,
- custom made tail section (fiberglass, by my wife)
- Sebring exhaust
And the bike was like this:
I didn't like the cb seat, so found one from a Street Triple (2009).
I modified the "subframe" to fit the seat.
This is the design for the mask. The main colour it will be matt black
(same as bike), the number 13 will be gold or copper leaf.
Don't laugh, I coloured inside the edge.

Hey Ice. Probably you remember me, I'm GoodKat from the Ro forum of CB. That's a really nice project you have there. Do you have a video sample of the sebring exhaust running? Also I have a question for all the CB owners, did any of you wrapped the exhaust pipes into carbon fabric/asbestos fabric? Any changes in temperature/sound/look? Cheers

Re: CB500 Flat-Tracker Style
the best sound that I had on CB500 was from a ROMBO exhaust.
The sebring exhaust was from a CBR F3.
Now I'll fit a exhaust from a R1 2009, after I'll cut it almost in half.

Re: CB500 Flat-Tracker Style
I have CBR wheels on it, and brand new tires, Michelin Power Pilot.
This weekend I painted the yokes and prepared for painting the forks, Tomorrow I'll get new oil and dust seals on them.
I'm moving slow because of the lack of money .
I'll keep posting

Hi, the project is put off at the moment, and the bike is stored in the house.
I'm planing to continue with it by the mid of 2015, once I finished with my degree.
The project evolved much more, I want a street tracker for Road Racing Hill Climbing Championship, turbo or super charged, fuel injected, full racing suspensions and carbon bodywork.
I will update the topic once I will start the work
