Was looking to do a tail mod myself, wanted to shorten the tail but keep the original seat and grab rail, but when I took the tail peice off found it covers a massive hinge for the seat and also acts as spacers on the shock mountings. If you've got your own welding kit then happy days. I haven't, so it put me off Smile Sticking to a flat black respray with some number panels!

Currently looking at doing exactly this, along with a respray, over the winter season, ready for our first guests here next April/May. Watch this space!

Just got a mock up photo of the new back end that we've got planned for the CB. It involves some subframe shortening and re-welding, cutting down the seat pan and refoaming/covering the seat (roughly the same shape as a Ducati Monster seat), and fabricating an electronics undertray, which will also house the rear light and indicators. I think it's going to look superb...

Well, here's the pic of the mock up (minus the respray).
Unfortunately, we've also now had an estimate for the cost. Looks like having a unique bike ain't a cheap venture.

Work on the CB (see above) will be starting soon: I rode it over from France to the builders, Spirit of the Seventies in Kent last week.
I'll post updates as I get them.
