antifreeze?
Ok, another one of my simple(ton) questions. I meant to ask at my maintenance class, and forgot and now no class for 2 weeks. Do I have to do anything special to prepare for the cold weather? Everything was changed and topped up at last service, is that it?

Re: antifreeze?
If they changed all the fluids you should be good to go. You can get antifreeze testers which will tell you if the coolant mix is any good, to be honest it's not a difficult job to dump all the coolant and replace it with fresh stuff. There's a drainage bolt on the side of the water pump, you undo this & remove the filler cap, drain off & refill.

I agree with the above, you wanna make sure your antifreeze is good as with other fluids. Winter is a likely time to break down but not a fun time. If your using it a lot I would look at treating it with some anti corrosion stuff like acf50 or the scottoiler stuff to protect against corrosion from the salt and damp. Also make sure your lights and battery are tip top as well as tyres. Keep it clean and periodically check it over. Most of all enjoy it in the winter, there are some great rides to be had.
