hi can any-one help. if you turn pilot screw out. ie. anti-clockwise will this let in more air or fuel/ making richer or weaker/ would be glad of advise:scratch:

Adjusting the pilot screw only affects incoming fuel at idle. Screwing it out allows more fuel to mix with the air that is already coming in.

hi thanks for help.i took bike to have carbs ballanced that went ok but could not get 1 of the screws to move/ i have now freed it. was seized. been told set screw at 1 & half turns out then keep eye on colour of plugs /there are a bit on light side but did not know to turn in or out/after your advice will turn out half a turn CHEERS

I'm about to do a bit of work on my carbs, and Haynes manual says out 2 1/2 turns and then work from there.
