Making your gloves work with cellphone
I just stumbled on this info on how to 'upgrade' gloves to work with a smartphone:
The product - a thread containing metal fiber:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/603
The method - get out your sewing kit:
http://makezine.com/projects/iphone-gloves/
Get the stuff eg. here:

Re: Making your gloves work with cellphone
I don't have a smartphone, but I can see the point of this, especially for answering the phone in a hurry, when it's cold.
I was just thinking - it might be a bit more challenging with motorcycle gloves: you might have a few more layers to navigate and leather sewing is a bit of a challenge!

both of my pairs of gloves seem to work with my iphone although didn't when I first got them and definitely isn't a feature of them
pretty good for dismissing messages etc (while stationary) when I'm using the GPS function.

It's amazing just how capacitive pollution is.jerryfudd wrote:both of my pairs of gloves seem to work with my iphone although didn't when I first got them and definitely isn't a feature of them

I can't say I've ever had a problem with my bike gloves either but they are predominantly leather so it's not surprising.
