Headlight bulb upgrade?

Hi all,

Is it possible to upgrade to a better headlight bulb to improve visibility at night and if so does anyone have any recommendations? The bikes a CB 500 on a 94 plate.

Changing the bulb won't make any difference, as not enough power will reach the bulb.
I fitted micro relays and they allow power to be taken directly from the battery.
The difference is amazing.

As I have just broken my bike I have the relays and wiring if you want them.

Andy is right about wiring directly to the battery for best performance. You can upgrade to a more efficient bulb however. Osram night breakers and the more expensive Bosch model (I forget the model name) will make a bit of a difference. They are fairly expensive however. The difference isn't very big between these bulbs and the cheap ones you can buy but there is a difference

Andy if the OP does not want the relays and wiring I would like them as I was intending to fit a set of led spots to act as a gap filler to light up the ground between the bike and full beam area. PM me with what  and how to pay if you want something for them
